Steve LusenoSteve Luseno holds an LLB Degree from the Moi University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Kenya School of Law. He is a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. Mr. Luseno was called to the bar in 2002.

  • Mr. Luseno has handled extremely contested customer banker disputes for various financial institutions and more so issues related to the exercise of statutory power of sale, receivership, management of customer accounts vis-a-vis the interest regime queries
  • Mr. Luseno has been instrumental in ensuring that Banks he represents are afforded protection in law or otherwise and in so doing has helped in the development of jurisprudence in areas such as;
  1. realization of securities;
  2. banks rights under Hire Purchase Agreements;
  3. banks’ rights when served with Agency Notices;
  4. Effects of the amendment of the various statutes on existing and continuing liabilities under contracts;
  5. Receivership, Liquidation and winding up; and
  6. General legal counsel and regulatory advice for various Institutions to enable protection and diligence while discharging their duties, contractual statutory or otherwise
  • Mr. Luseno has further represented various leading insurance companies on behalf of which he has handled marine claims, recovery claims and personal injury claims.                                                 
  • Mr. Luseno has also  represented the Government in a matter wherein former employees who opted for early retirement have sued its parastatal for damages for alleged acts of discrimination while they were in the employment.
  • Mr. Luseno also handles individual client claims that have inter alia     trust related claims, patent and/or intellectual property claims, conveyancing and securities.
  • Mr. Luseno also has considerable experience in Public Interest litigation and Public Administration law claims emanating from excesses committed by Government agencies and/or Local  Authorities in executing powers donated to them under relevant statutes.
  • Mr. Luseno has substantial experience in representing clients before subordinate courts, Judicial, Administrative and Arbitral tribunals, the High Court and the Court of Appeal.
  • Mr. Luseno headed the Litigation firm of Messrs Mohamed Madhani & Company Advocates which has a large clientele and at least six (6) lawyers under his supervision. During this period he ensured that the department was run efficiently to the satisfaction of the clients.
Mr. Luseno is fluent in English and Kiswahili.
